Minimelt II Plus
Thermal Link
Tmax 206°C / 229°C / 260°C / 298°C / 318°C / Imax15A / very short reaction time / orientation independent mounting / temperature resistant ceramic housing / standard terminals
When used according to the operating instructions, the thermal link type 155 731 in compliance with DIN VDE 0821 EN 60 691 is suitable for all applications where a maximum permissible temperature must not be exceeded, for example in coffee makers, steam irons, dishwashers, and tumble dryers. It generally serves for the protection of electrical heating elements.
The thermal link comes with a melting solder insert which is in direct thermal contact with the fixing surface. Once the preset cut-off temperature has been reached, the fuse element melts, ensuring that the electric circuit opens and remains permanently open. Resetting is not possible.

Technical Data
Fixed temperature fuse
The “Minimelt II Plus” thermal link has been tested in accordance with DIN EN 60691 and is suitable for use under the following conditions:
Ambient conditions: | Temperature fuse for use under usual atmospheric conditions |
Circuit conditions: | Termal fuse for use in ohmic circuits. |
Comparative tracking index: | CTI ≥ 250V |
Characteristic values | VDE | *) cURus |
---|---|---|
Nominal current | Ir | 15 A |

Short-term overload current | Ip | 225 A |
Nominal voltage | Ur | 240 V |
*) cURus = UL / CSA |
Special information
The thermal link is neither suitable for potting nor for use in impregnated windings. This thermal link is a non-repairable component. It may only be replaced by an identical thermal link with the same type and variant number and rated cut-off temperature Tf and must be mounted in exactly the same way. Tf and Th do not refer to the ambient temperature, but to the temperature measured on the base plate near the melting solder insert when mounted.
Characteristic temperatures
Tf ... Nominal temperature
Th ... Continuous operating temperature in accordance with DIN EN 60691 (measured at base plate near the solder insert)
Tm ... Max. limit temperature

206°C | 170°C | 165°C | 500°C |
229°C | 205°C | 187°C | 500°C |
