F130
Micro Fuse / Protector
250V AC / 60mA - 100mA / time delay / BC 20A / 8,5 x 7,9 x 4,3mm / customized characteristics
Protectors are basically fuses in the size class of miniature fuses and have their characteristics. In addition, they offer extended flexibility compared to standard solutions due to adapted rated currents, characteristics and melting integrals. This makes them suitable for applications in which additional components would otherwise have to be used due to the requirements or in which no optimum protection can be found. They are mainly used in special power supply solutions, mainly in switching power supplies, which have to provide extended protection against overvoltages or mains disturbances due to their direct mains coupling to active components. The resulting pulse-like current loads are safely controlled by protectors without switching prematurely during normal operation. There is no such thing as a 'ready-made' protector, but all variants are matched to their target application. If required, protectors are approvable and can be certified according to the IEC 60127-7 fuse standard. Protectors are primarily designed for the direct 230VAC input range.

Applications
They are mainly used in special power supply solutions, mainly in switched-mode power supplies, which have to provide extended protection against overvoltages or mains disturbances due to their direct mains coupling to active components. The resulting pulse-like current loads are safely controlled by protectors without switching prematurely during normal operation. There is no such thing as a 'ready-made' protector, but all variants are matched to their target application. If required, protectors are approvable and can be certified according to the fuse standard IEC 60127-7. Protectors are primarily designed for the direct 230VAC input range.
Structure and mode of operation
Protectors are basically fuses in the size class of miniature fuses and have their characteristics. In addition, they offer extended flexibility compared to standard solutions due to adapted rated currents, characteristics and melting integrals. This makes them suitable for applications in which additional components would otherwise have to be used due to the requirements or no optimum protection can be found.
