Chip Fuse

The chip fuse in the 1206 version with the switching characteristic 'fast' can substitute all equivalent fuse types with housing dimensions of 2.5 x 2.5 x 6.1 mm (trade names Nano, Nano2, Brick fuse). Besides a quarter of the PCB area, the same performance is delivered in the power range up to 125 VAC / DC with max. 150 A. Preferably chip fuses are used in converter / charging circuits. Typical applications are DC / DC converters, HV converters for plasma / LCD backlight solutions, step-up converters for LED lines. Due to their characteristic the chip fuses are suitable for the protection of power semiconductors or power amplifiers. This type is also suitable as direct short-circuit protection of Lion (polymer) or LiFePO cells in the capacity range 350 mAh to 1.5 Ah C5 to C10 for mobile terminals. Finally, the chip fuse also serves the broad field of sensor technology and smart metering.
