Smarty II NC

Properly installed, the temperature controller type 161 771 may be used wherever a fixed temperature needs to be controlled. This thermostat is designed to obtain a differential of approx. 10 - 25 K.

It can be supplied with contacts ”normally closed“ (161 771) and "normally open" (161 772).
 

A stamped bimetal disc is used as temperature sensing element. The disc is placed in direct contact with the mounting plate therefore reacting quickly to temperature change. Upon reaching the preset temperature  the bimetal disc provokes the opening (or the closing) of the electrical circuits. After the cooling phase, the disc snaps back to its original position thereby closing (or opening) the circuit again.
