Duomelt Plus
Temperature Limiter / Thermal Link Combination
T 250°C / Imax 10A / short reaction time / orientation independent mounting / temperature resistant ceramic housing / standard terminals
Properly installed, the combination limiter/ limiter/thermal link type 162 441 may be used in electrical devices where the heating phases
need to be interrupted permanently after a preset temperature is reached and where an upper temperature limit must not be exceeded.
Vaulted bimetal discs are used as the temperature sensing elements. The discs are placed in direct contact with the mounting plate therefore reacting quickly to changes in temperature. Upon reaching the preset temperature the bimetal discs operate and open the electrical circuit. After the cooling process two steel discs prevent an automatic reset. The limiters have to be reset manually by pressing the reset tabs. The thermal link, approved according to DIN VDE 0821/EN 60 691, is equipped with a melt solder insert, placed in direct contact with the mounting plate. Upon reaching the preset temperature, the solder melts opening the electrical circuit. Resetting is not possible.
