Duoclic II
Thermostat Combination
Tmax 250°C / Imax 16A / NC and NO combinable / short reaction time / orientation independent mounting / temperature resistant ceramic housing
Properly installed, the thermostat combination type 161 751 may be used for example in ovens, steam generators and washing machines and wherever two fixed temperatures need to be controlled or monitored.
Vaulted bimetal discs are used as temperature sensing elements. The discs are placed on the mounting plate in direct contact with the thermostat combination therefore reacting quickly to changes in temperature. Upon reaching the preset temperature, the bimetal discs operate and open (or close) the electrical circuit. Upon cooling, the discs snap back to their original position thereby closing (or opening) the circuit again.

Applications
Properly installed, the thermostat combination type 161 751 may be used for example in ovens, steam generators and washing machines and wherever two fixed temperatures need to be controlled or monitored.
Structure and mode of operation
Vaulted bimetal discs are used as temperature sensing elements. The discs are placed on the mounting plate in direct contact with the thermostat combination therefore reacting quickly to changes in temperature. Upon reaching the preset temperature, the bimetal discs operate and open (or close) the electrical circuit. Upon cooling, the discs snap back to their original position thereby closing (or opening) the circuit again.
Advantages
- easy mounting
- both components mounted onto one base plate with homogenous heat transfer
- protected contact system, no cover cap necessary
- orientation independant switching behavior
- short reaction time, suitable for powerful + low-mass heating elements
- robust ceramic housing with seperate switching chambers
- stable switching temperatures even under different current load
- high contact force and low contact resistance
- high dielectric strength even after many switching operations
- defined temperature drift over the service life
- consistent performance characteristics and product quality through fully automated production
